Samarra St. Hilaire OTR/L, CMPT, is the Owner and Clinical Director of E.C.H.P. Occupational Therapy Services.
With over 15 years of experience providing OT services to the pediatric and geriatric population,
Samarra has developed a passion to help her clients experience success and develop confidence. She is not afraid to think out side the box and is always willing to do what ever it takes to help all of her clients.
She has worked with children ranging from preschool to high school aged with differing
diagnoses including but not limited to ADHD, ADD, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down Syndrome,
Learning Disabilities, and Rett’s Syndrome to name a few.
She enjoys making environmental modifications and
creating/adapting equipment based on a child's individual needs.
She integrates programs and modalities such as the iLS (Integrated Learning Systems)and Pediatric Massage to enrich the quality and effectiveness of treatment sessions. In addition, Samarra has been trained in the area of "Diagnosis and Treatment of Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)" at the Star Insitute. Samarra also enjoys collaborating with fellow therapist (i.e. PT, SLP, Behavioral),
teachers, and parents to assure optimal carry-over of skills.
Samarra earned her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2002. She is the author of "Writing in Stages", which is a handwriting workbook addressing formation basic shapes and upper case letters of the alphabet;
